Default New AR 15 Pistol

Ordered from Palmetto State Armory..complete 10.5 inch upper with ALL lower parts (for $259 plus free shipping to the house) and the shockwave pistol stabilize and all assorted lower parts. Just had to buy a lower and install parts. I have $329 in it. This one does have additional stuff I had not included in that price( ergo grip, light and Magpul stock and a cheap rear sight and cheap sling).

But for 320 bucks and the cost of a cheap rear sight you can have ALOT OF FUN. I put 90 rounds through it with no issues today....BTW, You can shoulder the pistol stuff without being in violation...

Just thought I would let the THT crowd know about a cheap fun toy..

Nice way to go. PSA is in my area. I got one of their .300 Black out pistols that I really like. But I do have two sets of build kits I need to get on. I bought a matched set of receivers for AR15 and AR10 but only have bought the rest of the parts for the AR15. Stalled on the AR10 because they have had no black barrels for them for a while now. Just SS which I wanted to build them both into Flat Dark Earth matching pairs. So I wait...

Yea, for the money <400 bucks it is a nice handy little outfit....and less than buying a new Glock or other quality pistol.

I have a DPMS AR 10 and it is a fun shooter just the ammo is pricey. PSA AR 10 I have seen it for 599 and that is a sweet deal too..This was first time using PSA stuff and I was impressed for the price.

I will buy a descent little red dot Vortex, Sig or something for it

Cracker,
this would be the perfect compliment to your new pistol!

Awesome. Just shows how foolish the NFA rules for SBR are. I suspect firing that indoors without hearing protection would make you deaf.

Awesome build.

Neat gun!!! Is that considered a "handgun" under Florida concealed carry laws? I've been asking different people here searching for the rules in NC and nobody knows the answer.

It would not be legal for concealed carry in SC. Total length is limited to 12" for concealable firearms.

I've got a feeling that NC law is something like that too but I just can't find it.

Was just in PSA today, looking at 300 Blackout uppers. Thinking about buying one to throw on an AR lower for my 16 year old son to hunt with.

Does it have a serial number? And if so are the upper and lower matching?
If not... is it legal?

Bo
Look at Florida state statute 790 definitions, specifically section 2 then section 6

It describes a concealed firearm, nothing about concealed handgun....probably why no one can tell you the way you ask it

but the Cracker will keep you straight!!!

On ARs the serial numbers are on the lower. That is why they could ship everything to my house (The upper and lower parts. I bought the empty or stripped lower locally... The lower is considered the "Firearm part" and has to go from dealer to dealer NOT the upper or lower parts..

I was talking more about in a vehicle. Rifle laws are much more stringent than handgun laws. A rifle has to be inaccessible and unloaded. A handgun can be loaded and under the seat. I can't find anywhere if an AR pistol is a "handgun" under NC law.
