CGC heading back to earth along with other Canadian stocks. News about possible US border bans seems to be a trigger.

Yep. Takin a beating yesterday and so far today. My guess is that PR is useful for the big guys to hoard more shares on the cheap. Next week maybe they bounce right back when the “rumor”
is dispelled.

It's kind of ridiculous. US Companies are allowed to facilitate the investments, yet people who invest from other countries could be banned from entry.

I’m guessing it’s fake news but who knows. These stocks have had huge runs in the past week or two so
a breather is to be expected. In the case of NXTTF they had a big shareholder pledge not to sell for some weeks leading up to a party two nights ago. There they announced a purchase of a UK company effectively inserting NXTTF into the UK market with a sales license already In place. This is great news because their patient count will increase exponentially. Nonetheless there’s been a sell off since the party most likely because people (like me) have been sitting on shares since $0.50/. I bought a little more this morning and I’m happy to wait on it. I think they have a great model and a very bright future.

I'm assuming by "investors" they are referring to people actually backing or starting these companies not stockholders, right? I mean, how would they know if you owned pot stocks?

I wouldn't put this in the fake news category. Read this
https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...-border-783260

as for how they know? All banks have to share certain financial data. How it works for US citizens vs foreigners is different and my complete novice guess is that major investors who are well known are ones that have been affected. I doubt the average Canadian Joe who owns a bit of stock has been.

the border patrol enforces this action while the SEC and financial regulators allow US investors access to the market...

I read that. It reads like the CBP is looking for traffickers and recreational users and or employees can get caught in the crossfire.

I have no illusion that it’s confusing and there is no coherent position by the US government today. These articles can put pressure on the congress to step up and finally take a position....except that they’re all in campaign mode so nothing will get done.

Thoughts on ACBFF? I got some a month ago because it was pretty cheap. Coca Cola rumor hit today and gave it a nice boost.

Does anyone know what the deal is with NXTTF?

'$N, Canada. urgent update: Quebec newspaper highlights Namaste's illegal activities and Quebec investigation in $N for violation of laws. Tilray quickly drops $N, shareholders are next.'-Citron Research Tweets

They have this statement from the 14th and they halted trading on the 13th.

I couldn't find anything else about it though?

re NXTTF,
It seems they started celebrating before the finish line. Pissed off the ministry of Health by signing up “patients” at their party using the web portal, which uses Nurse Practicioners to write prescriptions. Problem is that they were in Quebec and NP’s can’t write in Quebec. That may have been illegal.

Next issue is that they pushed for a shareholder pledge not to sell shares before the party. That stinks of price manipulation so the listing agencies are pissed as well. Doesn’t help that three of the top level managers also sold during the “pledge.”

Tilray got wind of the party (they weren’t invited) and the investigation so they instantly tore up the agreement.

Youthful exuberance and celebrating before they received their license were pretty big stumbles. It doesn’t seem that they actually broke any laws but you don’t have to and can still get your permits held up indefinitely. I still think they have a great model and I’ll have to wait and see what comes of this debacle of a party.

I don’t know much about Citron apart from them having a known reputation for publishing slanderous pieces to lower share prices and then buy in. I haven’t verified this but I’ve read it on a few different sources. There is some truth to what they’re saying here, no doubt.

Just got out of NXTTF pretty much broke even my average was at 2.27 if I was in at a lower price I might would of waited it out. A week ago I was loving this stock now it has me nervous so I think I’m gonna sit back and watch until this investigation is over.

Oops, my bad. TNDM of course isn't a pot stock. Thought this was the other thread.
NBEV up another 23% today. No position. Might pull the trigger on a pullback.
