There wasn't a lot of country musicians that I really appreciated in my lifetime, he was one of them. I have always been convinced he could have excelled at any genre of music he chose. His last song literally brought tears to my eyes , "I'm not going to miss you".

My pop died from Alzheimer's and complications.
Not gonna miss you brings tears. Wish I had been a better son.

That was great. Reruns of The Lone Ranger have been on TV lately. My wife and I have enjoyed watching them.

One of the best ever. Could play and sing just about anything. But his guitar skills are legendary, especially amongst studio musicians (see The Wrecking Crew).
