Default Thanks for the Help...

Some of you might remember that I was laid off five months ago. I just wanted to let everyone know that my long bout with unemployedness is over. I started with a company in Batesville, MS and this is my third week. I give a lot of credit to you guys for keeping my spirits up during the job hunt!

This is what I am doing now....

Batesville? Wouldn't happen to be home of the Batesville Casket Company would it? I'm surprised they were hiring. I heard business was dying.

Sorry.

Congratulations on the new job.

No TB.

But as long as business is dead, you won't get laid off

Good on yer, Moose. I hope it works out for you, and gets you back into a boat

Congratulations!!

I started work on June 1 after spending a few months looking, myself. It's a good feeling, hmm?
I was fortunate in that I had three offers come in at once. After two months on my new job, I feel better every day about the choice I made. Great work, great working conditions, best boss I've ever had, 8.5 miles from home with no freeway in the commute (that's HUGE in SoCal, where 30 mile commutes on congested freeways are common), good pay, excellent benefits.

It was worth being patient to find the right place.
