TECNU, you can get it in most pharmacy's, sold as a Poison Oak/Ivy wash.

It breaks down oils,

Anyway....the survey guy didn't say a word about the waste tank. .I wasn't able to do anything on the boat while it was in the storage building but when it got pulled out I was able to work on it while it was on the storage building property. I noticed a little $hit odor in the cabin but didn't think much of it, I had never had a boat with a head so I didn't know what to expect. Well long story short.....I put new batteries in the boat and noticed a red light was on in the head but I didn't know what it was for because the nameplate was missing that said what the light was for. Come to find out the $shit storage tank was totally filled which is what the red light was for to tell when it was full. I didn't even know that there was poop pumpers at marina's cuz I never needed one or even saw someone use one.

I didn't want my wife to know the boat was full of someone else's crap so I figured I would empty it out before I had the boat lifted in. I didn't even know there was a pump outlet so I used a small 3 gallon shop vac to clean out someone else's crap that had been in the tank from the year before....OMG I'm still gagging just thinking about it. Once I filled up the little 3 gallon shop vac I didn't know what to do with it so I dumped it into a dumpster that was on the property. I had gloves on but they got soaked through and my hands smelled awful as Pete's did. I tried DL hand cleaner, lemon juice, vinegar, and they still stunk. I ended up using a triple process of diluted bleach....then gasoline....and then rubbing alcohol. There was still a slight stink but it went away after a couple of days.

If the Lysol doesn't work try my triple process since I know it worked....and good luck!
LMAO. That’s some funny $ht right there.

Try washing your hands with soap and water using a stainless steel spoon. The stainless does something or other with the odor molecules and gets rid of them. Always works with fish and garlic smells for me. Worth a shot.

Orange scented Goop and a lot of scrubbing with abrasive sponges etc. Also, a very firm bristle tooth brush, the stuff is probably under your finger nails, cuticles and the pores of your skin. Just gonna be a lot of scrubbing. Hope it helps.

what about tomato juice like with skunks

also I will say this anytime I have had something like PVC glue or something similar on my hands that stains them I have found that putting gloves ON actually gets it to come off.....something about your hands sweating in the gloves makes everything that is on your skin sweat out/off

I would get some tight fitting latex gloves and put some tomato juice in them and wear them around for an hour or so while mowing the lawn or something similar and then change to another pair with a through hand wash and do the same perhaps as many as 3 times and then see what the smell is then and perhaps go with one last clean pair for an hour before a through hand wash

X2 Just buy a bottle at a marine or RV store. Make sure to wash them after a few minutes so your hands don't disintegrate. Then start a new thread about how to get rid of holding tank chemical smell. And blue hands.

Do you happen to own a Weber grill? You could try rubbing your hands on the stainless steel

Salt water really helps. Kosher salt and soap

What exactly is the smell? Head bolt grease? Clean your finger nails real good. Get a manicure.

Man cringing at this thread knowing I will have to “go in” in short time for a duckbill change and bowl seal. First purchase heavy duty rubber gloves!

There's nothing like the sound of the snap of latex in the morning.
