Default Wife's 40th class reunion!

Well, tomorrow afternoon we head about 140mi. "West" for the wife's H.S. reunion - about 100 in the graduating class of '66.

The "facility" will be an UNair-conditioned big white BARN, near Moscow, VA (no kidding!).

The invitation included "highlights" of the festivities, as well as some excellent "entertainment" and contest prizes as follows:

"PRIZES ($5 K-Mart Gift Certificates) will be awarded for:

1) LONGEST ear or nose hair (in FULL inches!)
2) Greatest difference in vertical elevation between the TOP of the belt - in FRONT - and the top of the belt at the horizontal "mid-back" point
3) Most height LOSS since 1966
4) Best "rug" (male or female)
5) Most children/grandchildren/great grandchildren from any ONE marriage
6) Greatest number of LEGAL marriages in the past 40 years
7) Highest total number of medications - OR - largest pillbox
8) Most "affairs" during the course of ALL marriages (group discussion - men ONLY!)
9) Most "help cards" currently in your wallet (AA, AAA, AARP, etc.)
10) Highest number of IMPORTANT things you have "forgotten" - IF you can REMEMBER them?"

"There will also be a "Guess your age/weight" booth and a seminar on "Prune Juice - Getting The Most Bang For Your Buck"."

"There will be no band, but there are 3 guys at the service station next door that play the jug, washboard, and "chest-beater" drums, who are "scheduled" for 7:00-7:08P.M.".

"There will be NO BOOZE - unless Billy Raybob Handcock gets the radiator/filter fixed on the contraption he has behind the service station?"

"Buffet to include souse loaf (with "jell"), mashed green peas, loaf bread (with applebutter), canned gravy, and Prune Chunk Jello and "all-you-can-drink" apple juice. There will be a meat mallet available for those who need to further "soften" their dinner."

"The "Master Of Cermonies" will be Delroyd Maskin(Del's brother-in-law - Class of '66),

who remained "local" after graduation, and now runs "Him-Royds Senior Men's Clothing Apparel and Photo Processing Booth" (across from the closed-down "Richfield" gas station)."

Gotta' go - the lime-green wool leisure suit and red/blue madras shirt need ironing, and I've got black loafers to shine and white socks to wash!

Should be a fun evening, and I'll try to get some pics!

Regards,

Admit it Bruce, you're looking forward to this..... Just imagine, the line at the men's room will finally be as long as at the women's, you'll hear more clicking from dentures than from a pair of castanet's and you won't have to worry about getting beat up in the parking lot since everyone will be leaving while it's still daylight!!!!!!! And another thing you won't have to worry about is anyone kissing and telling...... because no one will remember !!!!!!!!! Have fun now, ya hear.....

Hey Cousin Brucie: How did the reunion go, knowing you.... you took a lot of pic's...so post them up...Hope you had a good time...

I have not been to a class reunion (class of 68), I talk to some of the guys on the computer and they no longer have each class, they do a school reunion (all years) now...

He just e-mailed me and said the next one is August 11th & 12th....I can't make that one either....but next year...it's already on the calendar...I plan on being there...
