Default 4 runner sr5 2wd v6 mpg

For those of you with the newest 4 runners, what kind of mpg should I expect out of a 2wd v6 4 runner????

Anyone have any complaints on the 04-06 4 runners? Thanks!!!!

Btw, tried the search feature and I only found mpg for v8' in towing conditions for some reason.

My wife has an 06 Sport Edition V6 4wd and averages right around 20mpg around town. That's with regular gas. Haven't had it on a trip yet but I assume no more than 22. I would guess that the 2wd version is probably good for another 1-2mpg.

No complaints my way with just over 5k on the clock.

We've got an 03 v6 that my wife drives and I'm thoroughly impressed. She regularly gets better than 20 mpg in mixed driving and it gets 22-23 on the interstate. No complaints at all.

My wife has a 2004 v6 2wd 4-Runner. I keep great records of the gas milage and probably over do it on the maintenance. 80,000 miles. Averages 22.5 mixed some around town with 60%+ highway. Can get 20+ mpg intown and max I have seen on highway only trips is 23.5-24.

Thanks for the replies!!! Makes me feel better about looking for one to be my wifes next car. I just do not want her to go into shock at the pump going from a v6 accord into a sport utility. She has been wanting a tahoe for the better part of 3 years and has almost convinced me to let it happen, but we all know how well those toyotas and hondas run.

Does anyone know anything about a factory trans cooler??????

I do not see a tow package as an option, only a drop hitch reciever. What is the deal with this?????

With the tow package, it includes a tranny cooler. My wifes is a 4 speed auto, so you must tow in 3rd gear. They may now offer a 5 speed auto, which would give better towing milage. She likes the SUV and it tows well, and stops great!

I have an '03 4wd 4 runner with a 5 speed auto. The mpg indicator in my 4 runner says I get an average 22.2 mpg....I always drive in 2wd if not towing the boat. Runs and tows great
