Default Sailing poem!

A friend passed who was an avid sailor. Wonderfully man, what is the famous sailors poem to recite at his funeral?

Thank you in advance!

Que es mi barco mi tesoro, que es mi dios la libertad, mi ley, la fuerza y el viento, mi única patria, la mar».

Jose de Espronceda

not just a sailor poem, but I think of the words often when I am offshore enjoying the wonders of our oceans.

So so sorry for the loss of your friend. Stay well.

Crossing the Bar
by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.

Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me!

And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam,

When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark!

And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far,

I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crost the bar.

Sailors_23rd-Psalm

The Lord is my pilot, I shall not drift.
He guides me across the dark waters.
He steers me through deep channels.
He keeps my log.
Yea, though I sail ‘mid the thunders
and tempest of life,
I shall dread no anger, for He is with me;
His love and His care, shelter me.
He prepares a quiet harbor before me.
He anoints the waves with oil
My ship rides calmly.
Surely sunlight and starlight
shall guide me on the voyage I take,
And I will rest in the heaven's port forever.
