Default PB dogs no longer allowed on any Delta flights

I don't have a pit bull and never will but for those of you planning on putting your pooch on an airplane trip you won't be able to do it on Delta. I wonder why they banned a specific breed and ONLY one breed of dog since they are no more dangerous than any other breed of dog? Delta officials must have been looking at all of the fake dog bite statistics that are online.

Before anyone says it.....I don't care if you own 20 PB's and I know that not all PB's are bad dogs.....but they are the only dog breed that I would never own. And I do personally know of 3 serious dog attacks on people and all 3 were PB's. This post will likely get moved to the BILGE where all of the negative PB threads go.

No worries, he's an American Staffordshire Terrier. I don't know what a pit bull is. Is that large cow stuck in a ditch?

My pit will give you a handshake or fistbump, doesnt hate luke bryan, nickelback, or anyone else, and has never told anyone to go F himself. He's better than half the assholes on that plane.

I read where they have had bites on passengers and cabin crew by pit bulls, that's the reason they give for banning them

The ONLY thing worse than a pitbull is a pitbull owner. Just watch and see exactly what I mean.

I would rather have a dog next to me than most people. Dogs can't take off their shoes.

Just a couple days ago here in dc a woman was killed by her fiance’s Dog. The local news would not mention the breed. The reporter referred to it as “a dog that looked like this” while a picture of a pit bull looking dog was on the screen. The dog in other reports was identified as a dogo Argentino.

Sadly it’s a breed that has been destroyed. I’m sure some will defend them but seems like every time someone gets attacked or killed by one the owners are saying the same old story “My dogs has never acted that way”.

They bite peole and viciously tear the wound, beyond reason.

This is a very positive step by a company who is trying to take care of its customers.

What a surprise!

Many home insurance companies came to the same decision. At some point, you have to realize that a certain amount of risk is just not "worth it" for whatever benefit you think that breed can provide that other breeds cannot. I know what that breed is great at, I don't know what else that breed is better at than others.

I posted about a year ago about my daughter's insurance company won't insure people that own certain dog breeds. I am hearing this more and more.

There's a large group of dogs lumped in as pitbulls, there's too many people breeding them who know nothing about them

How about we just do the fair thing and ban ALL PETS ON AIRLINES???

I'm about sick and tired of this "accept pets ANYWHERE in society" now! Can't even go into a damned store anymore without some egghead being in their with their biscuit eating mutt on a leash or even worse, running loose! Those of us allergic to animals DON'T care to travel in planes with the flea bitten, mangy bastards nor do we care to smell them through the recycled air systems that are already bad enough on most airliners.

Leave them at home or board the damned things if they are so important that you MUST travel with them!

Now I'm NOT saying ALL pet owners are the same but I've seen quite a few who are/were MUCH better owners of their animals than they were parents to their children. Now why is that??? ;?
