Default Noseeum bites

@%*!*&^%$ these little f’rs are out in force this year !

I never had these, this bad until this year
Even worse than the typical mosquito bites. But this little things swarm 10-20 my arms and legs in 3 seconds.

How do you guys deal ?

yeaterday, after the wind picked up they disappeared. After the sun came out- same thing.
But at dusk ... my god.
I have bites all over my arms and legs.
I feel like I have fleas and can’t stop scratching.

Go inside an air conditioned house, they will get through the screens too.

Most interesting solution I've heard lately is waterbabies sunscreen. There was a post a few weeks back but no reports of anyone else trying and confirming it.

Had the same issue this weekend. Was doing some outside projects on the boat and was eaten alive.

We have an outbreak of biting yellow flies at the farm. We went from a drought to flooded conditions in two weeks and flies came out in force.

Eat a good thick slice of raw onion shortly before you go out.

Every time a no see um thread pops up, I preach the Water Babies... good to see people trying it and working for them.

My origional post post from years ago went something like this:

i was was on a killer trout bite in a marsh. The wind quit and guess who showed up by the millions. No way in hell was I leaving. I dug in my compartments for bug spray and only found the SPF 50 Water Babies. Put it on and not a single bite from the no see ums.

Default Screening

They make a fine mesh screen that keeps them out.

The ole go to is Skin So Soft. They drown in it. Or a smoke pot or either smoke pot.

They were awful this weekend. Turned my console black. Billions of them. I had long sleeves, pants, sneakers, face shield and a hat and could barely take it. I broke down and put on the head net my wife bought me, turns out the mesh holes are too big and the littler f'ers flew right through it. It was like a horror movie.

I did manage 2 keepers though!

Amber romance by Victoria Secret. You smell a little funny but it is the best I have found so far. And they love me for some reason. They leave my wife alone and swarm me.

My wife can be sitting right beside me and they won't touch her....meanwhile I'm itching and scratching like a crack head.

They bother me much worse than mosquitos.

Got lit up a few weeks ago. Girlfriend mixes some essential oils I keep in a spray bottle in my car. Works pretty well unless you start sweating.
