Sonos play 5

On the fence will probably go pick one up tomorrow. I have the whole Sonos system and have been very pleased just a little hard to swallow 500.00 for one speaker. Even though it does sound really good and I know I will be satisfied. Any one else on here take the plunge on the Play 5 yet.

The first generation Play 5 was my first Sonos speaker. Absolutely love it. It was the beginning of my Sonos sickness which includes the play 5, a play 3; 4 play ones, the sound bar and sub. They all get used almost everyday.

ditto

we push music around the house almost any day.

I canít imagine regretting adding a Sonos speaker.

Sonos is is one of the few things I have bought that exceeded expectations and I have no reservations about saying. Donít hesitate. Just buy

Funny, I’d never heard of them till my bride got me a Play 5 for my home office. 2 weeks and a few thousand later the house was rockin.

You won't regret it.....we started with a Play 5 for the kitchen/main living area, then added a Play 1 to the bathroom, the another Play 1 for my office, then another Play 1 for the garage and just last week, bought what I think will be our final Play 1 for the pool/back deck area (it stays inside, but is on an extension cord so it can be pulled outside when used). I found that grouping the all together was not such a good idea for us as when you turn one on, they all come on....but we did put them all on the same station so you can just walk in a room, hit a button and you have music and if two are being used at the same time, they are on the same song, but there can be a 1-2 second delay between each one. I'm not a big electronics guy and not that much into TV, so probably won't get the sound bar and all that stuff.....but the others are convenient and sound great, at least for our purposes.

Yeah I bought them for the house. Buy in pairs of 2 if you can for rooms that you listen most in and that are bigger. 2 in kitchen, 2 on lanai, singles in bedrooms and master bath. Sound good. Each room is named so you can set up zones and play music in the rooms of your choice. I love putting on nature sounds like birds/animal/sounds of nature noises while sitting out on the lanai -- sounds realistic. Birds will come over to check out what was going on from the bird sounds coming out of the sonos 5 that are on the lanai.

I'm in for 2 play 5's in the garage, 8-play 1's 4-play 3's thruout the House, 2-8" Klipsch off the Sonos amp on the deck, a separate connect controlling a Sonnaray app to the outdoor speakers and 2-play' 3's, sub and sound bar in the theater room. You won't regret anything but the price.

Got a 5 and a pair of 3’s not long after the system was introduced.
I haven’t been unhappy with any of them .

Does anyone else not find this a little crazy. Some folks get all bent about spending 300 to 400 for a cooler but will go and drop 500 for a single speaker or is all Sonos owners Yeti owners. I’m one of them just waiting for the store to open.

The thing with the Sonos speaker is that it’s more than just a speaker. It’s part of a system that gives you access to countless sources of music.
when I first got it I remember listening to radio stations in Europe. I use it mainly with pandora now but it can do a mess of other stuff.you can even get on local police and fire channels ( if that’s your thing) and the sound they put out is very acceptable .
