Default people and Yeti coolers

So I bought myself a Yeti 160, love it. it holds ice great and everything as advertised.
At the dock I get " My walmart $70.oo cooler is great, and I can replace after 3 years"
" oh oh, I think I see a scratch on your yeti"
" my coleman was 1/8 th the price yada yada"

I just don't get it, its a freakin $650.00 cooler, overpriced? probably . I bought it with my money !! I like it.
I love the looks of it on my boat, I love the build, I just love it. Yup, I wax it too. what is the problem ? I wax my boat too, and my car.
whats up with these people ??? like the rest of our boating stuff isn't overpriced? Better yet, why do people care?? Go buy 100 walmart coolers I dont care. I have my coleman 110 for 10 years, great cooler for the price...ok cool
Just annoying how a damn cooler can get so many snarky comments.

Don’t pay any attention to them. It’s your money. They are about as bad as anti-diesel people.

Cooler envy. It's just like the guy in the "Is deadrise necessary" thread, who kept chirping about how well his boat rode and how it would almost do everything that a deep V would. Their cheap coolers almost do what a performance cooler can.

I have a 65 and 125 and a Hopper. I like the look and durability of Yetis. And I like how they have no hinges to break, how your fat buddies can sit on them without bowing them out, and how they won't fly out of the boat or truck on the highway. I'm not a college kid trying to fit in or look cool in front of my buddies. I just value a solid cooler that holds ice longer than most others. If RTIC made the bigger models a few years ago, I would have gone with them because they're basically the same thing, same look, but cheaper. No regrets drinking the Yeti kool aid here.

Waxing is so yesterday, I ceramic coat my Yeti.

My Yeti bumper sticker still looks like new after applying a ceramic coating to it 5 yrs ago.

All I go to say is if you spend $650 on something that other people are happy with a lesser sub $100 product, then you have to expect to hear some chit from them.
