Default Secure file sharing software

My CPA (also a lawyer) is currently using ShareFile. He was wondering if there is anything better/easier to use out there. I told him I was no longer keeping up with these platforms but would ask around.

DocuSign? are you talking about contracts/etc or files of what? Most lawyers or accountants already have a secure file box on their website to supply files into. Box.com is good, but ShareFile is pretty good too.

I've used Sharefile for years. It works great for me. Are you looking for your own use?

It is for confidential documents and files. Not sure why is wants to change from ShareFile maybe he just wants to see if anything newer is better. One comment he made was easier to use for his clients.

I'll monitor this thread. We have the same problem. Don't know so much if it's that the clients that can't use it but maybe their computer doesn't like it.
I have clients that just can't open the e-mails or even if I provide a link they still can't open it.
Other than that, I like it. It's easy to use from my end.

That's what I use to share graphics with my potential artists and as a secure place to store all my Rapi photos. $100/yr gets me 1T of storage. There is a biz plan, as well, but IDK anything about it.

I am not sure if it's hacker-proof secure, but I post files on Dropbox and then just add the people I want to have access. I choose who can change documents, etc.

Hope this helps!

Dropbox has had security issues in the past. Not sure of the status at this time.

My feeling is that clients who have trouble opening files via Sharefile will have trouble no matter what you use. I find it fairly easy to use, and most clients don't have a problem with it.

I would guess that your CPA wants to make a change due to pricing. Sharefile recently restructured their plans.

When I worked for the large security software company we were not permitted to use dropbox for sensitive data because of security issues....
