Default Best boat insurance??

Need to get a quote, currently have State Farm and having some issues with getting simple questions answered.
We have a 35 ft express style sportfisher fwiw.
Stays in a wet slip, inboards, yearly service done and we maintain it with an open checkbook.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Check with an independent agent that knows the boat markets. Should be able to get some competitive quotes through Atlass Special Risk (broker) - but, you have to go through an agent.

I've been happy with Charter Lakes and XL. Insurance.

Not sure if the representative would be the same over there, but my guy is

After the devastation of Sandy my marina owners said that Travelers was the easiest to deal with and paid their claims quickly. I have Seatow, New Hampshire and they had a decent policy for me. Travelers was a little more expensive for the same coverage.

I've used State Farm for 40 years, for all my insurance except my boat. They are clueless when it comes to anything larger than a runabout.
