Default Just the beginning...

This happened so quietly here that I had to hear about it on national news. Itís not going over well locally, contrary to what the press reports. Itís coming to a sideline near you. Their idea for the replacement is sure to look like some liberalís ideal view of the new America.

Yeah, I just can't believe that even Coach Pop could sell men in pom poms shouting, "He's our man!" to Texans.

If they need to field test this idea, I suggest they try doing so to the Golden State Warriors fans. San Antonio ain't even that close to Austin.

San Antonio has always been left leaning, but the last couple of years have been bad and it only seems to get worse. Now that the elected liberals have become a super majority all kinds of crazy stuff is happening. Soon we’ll be San Frantonio.

As for coach Pop, just Google his political statements that he really started publicly making in the last year. His statements alone have caused more empty seats at home games than anything else.

JKBrad, I knew that about Coach Pop. I did NOT know it about San Antonio. So I guess you guys are a bit too close to Austin. Yikes! Would it help if they lowered the speed limit on I35?

No, the traffic is so bad between SA and Austin, you can hardly ever hit the limit for more than a few miles. The libs want light rail between the 2 cities, they just don’t want to pay for it. Our property taxes are sky high and they want more.

At least Austin has a cool factor. San Antonio is Section 8 city USA. Cheap labor for the tourists. Very few interesting things, relatively speaking, for locals to do in a city of it’s size.

Local politicos are hyping up Major Leage Soccer. They missed getting a team, so now they are courting the Mexican league. We had a minor league team that no one went to see. Maybe if they had an inclusive and diverse, family friendly “hype team” that would have helped.

Here’s a different article. Essentially, chearleading in it’s traditional form is exploitation.
