Default Garage door opener remote ? -genie

my remote, carried loose in the car (not part of the car) has been weak and intermittent last 6 months. changed batteries, no change, took it apart and found under the flexible button that you press on, what looks like a place on a small circuit board where the button, which is rubber, presses on part of the circuit board. I guess making a connection on the flat non moving circuit board.
I cleaned the board with electronic cleaner, as it was black looking (coming off the rubber button??)
Is the button electrically conductive? I did not think to clean the underside of the button, but could if the problem returns.
Hows the thing work?

Can't help you with the remote but if you used LED bulbs in or around the opener that can cause interference with the signal. Something to look at as it may not be your opener.

Just go buy a new opener. There like $15.

2 minutes to program and back up and running.
