Believe it or not, many claim ( professionals ) that the breed most likely to bite is a dachshund. Have a neighbor who had to put his down because it continued to bite people so I asked our vet and he said yes to that claim. Who knew.

They were originally bred to hunt badgers. They're tougher than they seem. Always looked comical to me.

If you have to pick a dog you'd least want to be bitten by, which one would it be and why?

And be honest

Per the article, the mix was dashsund-terrier - a 40 lb animal. That's not your standard weiner dog.

What a BS story - "The dogs were mostly “standard dachshund and terrier mix” canines, which are typically small and weigh about 40 pounds. And they show a picture of 2 16 lbs weiner dogs running

The title should read, "7 mutt stray dogs..."

Depends on whether the dachshund is going to live up to the name "wiener dog" or not.

I am guessing more "terrier" than dachshund.

You fellas may be surprised, 40lb is a big dog for these breeds and probably in this case has more to do with whatever other breed is within them but I have 4 dachshunds. 1 at about 15lbs, 2 are in the 20's and one is mid to upper 30's. And no the biggest is not mixed because I own the mom and dad. Kept two pups and the other two pups where giving to my in-laws and are of the generally smaller size, not really pups they are about 6 years old now. And yes, they will bite anyone they don't know if you come into my house or their back yard uninvited. They kill snakes, squirrels, birds, rabbits, a cat or two have gone missing but they don't bother anyone else and stay in our yard.
