Default Pack of wiener dogs maul woman to death... maybe

A pack of vicious small dogs mauled an Oklahoma woman to death, according to reports.

Tracy Garcia was standing outside her home last week when what are believed to be her neighbor’s six standard dachshund and terrier mixes and one border collie mix suddenly attacked her — leaving her with injuries so severe, she later died.

“This is a bad situation, a very unfortunate situation,” Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant told KTEN. “This is just a bad deal all the way around.”

Deputies shot and killed one dog who charged at them and the other six were taken to the Westwood Veterinary Hospital to be put down at the owner’s request.

The dogs involved in the attack were all under 40 pounds, with legs shorter than an adult’s hands, according to images of their remains reviewed by the Daily Ardmoreite.

“They have really noticeable characteristics like their knobby legs, knees, very short-legged dogs,” euthanasia technician Amanda Dinwiddie told KXII.

Six of the dogs were about 1 year old and the seventh was about 3 years old and possibly the pack’s mother.

Shelter co-director Tena Layton said they all appeared to be a mix of dachshund and some sort of terrier, as did Dinwiddie, who said one was a border collie mix.

But the doctor at Westwood Veterinary Hospital https://www.facebook.com/westwoodvthosp/posts/2344965329063136 that to him, the dogs actually appeared to be pit bulls, with four pit bull-mix puppies and one female who looked like an Australian shepherd mixed with “something with short legs.”

Bryant disagreed with that assessment earlier in the week, telling KTEN that a report saying one of the dogs was a pit bull was inaccurate.

All were infested with fleas and ticks, Dinwiddie said.

“We were cleaning ticks off ourselves all day,” she said. “They are very covered, you can tell they have been living out in the woods.”

It’s unclear what led to the attack, but the investigation is ongoing.

An employee at the shelter wouldn’t confirm the breed of the dogs to The Post Wednesday, and the Westwood Veterinary Hospital did not immediately return a request for clarification

.

Garcia, 52, a housekeeper at the Hilton Inn, was buried Tuesday and is survived by a son and daughter, according to her obituary.

How could anyone confuse a PB for a weenie dog?

I've said my opinion about how much I am against PB's but if you want to own one I couldn't care any less.....anyway.....my daughter and future son-in-law are both Vet Tech's and they have had very few problems with PB's and they both said the dogs that bite more than any breed are weenie dogs. The difference is the weenie dog bites because they are scared, a PB bites to kill and have no fear. Obviously a bite by a PB is going to be way more damaging than a bite by a weenie dog.

Is this fake news? How could wiener dogs kill someone? Chew their feet off at the ankles?

I agree. I'm thinking that maybe the woman had a heart attack and the dogs ate her body because they were starving.

I've been bitten twice in my life by a dog.
once was my fault, the other was one of those ravenous little hot dog bastards.
I was on a bike, little bitch ran out of a yard, dove in the air and attached itself to the back of my leg!
I love dogs but always have reservations about getting around one of these little creeps.

Pit in disguise, it was a choice between either the Wiener or the Pug.

I have a 70lb pit bull and a 10lb weinerdog. Guess who is the dominant one? Mine started establishing her dominance young.

They were bred to go into their dens and kill badgers. Most of that has been bred out, but if you get a bloodline that kept that in, like my last dog, they are great varmint dogs.

SIL has a dachshund. Dam little thing shatters your ears when it barks in the house, which is often.

This is unpossible. The pit bull apologists tell us that when other dogs maul people the media doesn't care enough to report it.

Only time I have ever been bitten by a dog was my aunt's dachshund. I was 12 and went to GIVE it a bowl of food. It bit me before my hand even got to the ground and shook violently, thought it was going to take my thumb off. I still have a scar on the top of my left thumb where it literally peeled the top off my thumb off like a banana peel. Had to get 30 stitches etc.. To this day I will not put my hand down to pet a Weiner dog.

I have 3 Dachshunds. They are vicious when on a small fur bearing creature. I watched them kill a rat once and there was no mercy. They chase deer all the time. I told my wife the other day that if they were bigger and weighed 100 lbs that they would be flat out dangerous.
