I need to learn Italian quick
Can any one suggest an app or other program to tech basis Italian quickly? I spend a lot of time in the car so could listen to a CD or app on the phone. I've got two months to learn the basics.

To tag on to the OP anyone know of a way to learn Spanish really quick? I’ve got a Spanish final tomorrow and I don’t speak much Spanish.

How to speak italian:

1. Speak loud and fast
2. Wave your arms around alot
3. Some bippity boppities won't hurt

I know just enough Italian and just enough Spanish to be dangerous...what sucks is when I start combining them when we go to Italy!

My suggestion would probably be Rosetta Stone, because I don't really know of anything else. It's something I want to learn as well. I love Italy.

Why you need to learn it so fast?

Un caffe, per favore is 90% of what you need, and ciao/grazie/arrivederci.

With those phrases I more or less survived.

Bestest and fastest way is to find a long-haired dictionary.

Most fancy restaurants also let you order by numbers...”.I’ll take a #7 please”

If all else fails you, have someone tie your arms behind your back and “poof”, you’re an Italian with a speech impediment !

myyellas2k 05-15-2018 04:41 AM

I speak Italian.
My aunt and uncle and cousins are still over on the motherland.

Everyone there soeaks english more or less. Some better then us here

some of the real small towns won’t — but the bigger tourist towns will.

Go to a smaller city/town in Italy for one or two weeks and take an all day, every day immersion class.

I would try 501 Italian Verbs. The Spanish version is very good.

Dialects vary from area to area. Can't get a one size fits all but you can get one size fits most. As stated in the tourist towns they speak English. I would speak to them in my broken Italian and they would answer me in English.
