Default Seattle employee head tax vote expected today

They are out of their minds. Tax the company's $500 a year per employee to pay the lazy.

YEP, when Big T builds that wall it wouldn't hurt my feelings if he turned it NORTH at Yuma, AZ and ran it all the way to the border at Vancouver!!!

Seattle and San Fran are "sister cities" and dumb slut sisters at that IMHO!!!

As long as the residents don't start moving to Florida they can do what they want. They elected those people so it's their own fault.

First day of first trip to Seattle went to the lock where you can see the salmon going through. Every time a salmon jumped, which reminded me of mullet jumping, I was thinking "where's my fish gig", but the crowd would cheer and applaud. I thought, who in hell applauds for a jumping fish?

Long time residents aren't happy about all the Californians that have migrated there. It sounds like they are bringing their Calif ways with them

They are...it's about time to move a little farther East. It's not just Seattle and SF either...it's all of the major cities...for the most part.

What if Amazon's plan for building a second headquarters is really a ruse with the ultimate intention of moving the whole organization to a more big business friendly state, like Texas

Do the local politicians really what to call their bluff when Amazon employs 45000 people there? Let alone all the other big wigs there.

IU'm not sure if I agree with this. The liberal side of Ca is staying put. It's the conservatives who who are leaving. Washington and Oregon have enough free loading liberals to keep dems in office for ever.

Margaret Thatcher once say that 'The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money'

Progressive states like NY and CA lead the charge on policies like this. We have an employee that telecommutes and lives in CA. We are on the East Coast. We have no presence nor do any business in CA and yet we are forced to pay corporate tax there

The irony is Amazon, Starbucks, Microsoft, and the like were able to grow BIG in Seattle because of its relatively (to CA and he Northeast) lower operating and living costs!

The other irony is how liberal all of the above companies are or claim to be, but when it hurts their bottom line suddenly a change of view.

Why did and companies leave this country?
TAXES, Direct and indirect.

spend and tax took over from the previous boobs who had to at least pretend to look at a budget.
Look out for Illinois property tax.
Dooms day and targeted at you, the workers and achievers.
