Default Need some inspiration!

I'm going to tackle a small remodeling job for our home, which will help in both re-sale value, (selling within a year), as well as marriage credits, although to be honest, I do most of the work in this room!

I'm going to be upgrading our laundry room. Nothing now but a washer and dryer and a metal shelf. I'm going to be doing all the work myself, so will be saving a lot, but need some inspiration. Can those of you who have laundry rooms that you or your significant other LOVES, please post up a photo or two to give me some idea's. Have several thoughts, but would like to know what some of the latest trends are, what works and what doesn't work, etc.

As always....Thank you!

rip out the old nasty shelves she spilled stuff all over and install the new ones you buy

PM me and I will send you a photo of my ex's laundry room. Nice set up. The water control is great. Close two valves when she is going to be away for extended period. Just took my laundry there today. She took care of it while I made baked stuffed scallops and three sides.

BTW don't waste your money on any front load washer. No matter what the salesperson says they all still suck. Buy a Speed Queen top loader and live happily ever after

May as well do the floors if you've been wanting to. But more importantly paint can really refresh a room and you should paint for sure.

If you have the room and easily plumbed, instal wash tub style sink, very convenient.also a folding table. Also a futon for you and the maid.

My laundry room is off the kitchen so I used the same cabinets and granite. The tall pantry has drawers and it primarily craft and kids crap .

I also opted for a tall bar height cabinet oppsitop the washer and dryer because it's not very deep.

The shelf is just a piece of wood I painted. I also had the air handler covered with a plantation shutter to match rest of house.

Excuse the mess it's in my to do list today.
