Default Family trip to a nats game

We are planning a trip to dc for a couple nats games in July. 3 kids my wife and I. Anyone have any recommendations for someone to book a game/hotel package? We want to be in walking distance of the park. Thanks in advance. Mark

Nate stadium is nice, its any easy on off at the metro. The area directly around the stadium is safe especially when there is a game, but that general area of DC, Annacostia, is not a nice area at all. I recommend finding a hotel in the DC area you like, and just take the metro to the stadium for the game.

If its a day game get tickets on the shady side of the stadium, DC is brutally hot in July.

Stay in DC by a Metro stop.

See the the sights and metro to and from the game.

Youre re better off staying in The District than by the Nats stadium.

If you’re unfamiliar with DC check in when you pick a hotel. A few blocks will make a difference. If it seems “affordable” you may want some local knowledge.

fortunately Anacostia his a defining river. Nats Park is along the opposite shore. The Navy Yard area down there is revitalized.

Nats Park is in DC adjacent to the Navy Yard along the Anacostia river. It’s a couple miles from all the touristy monuments etc.

You could stay in old town Alexandria and take a boat shuttle over to the game. It’s pretty cool.

If we wanted to stay closer to all the tourist stuff in dc what would be some good safe hotels to book? My kids are 5 10 and 12. I want to keep them away from the unsafe areas.

Try VRBO or AirBNB in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The area is very safe, with a lot going on. Walking distance to the Capitol and the mall also. Ask your Congressman's office to get you tickets for a White House tour.

$400 a night so you can go to watch grown men chase balls?, I wouldn't pay $400 for them to come to my house

Why do you pay men to come to your house? I am not judging you, just a bold thing to admit on the internet.
