Willy T was the highlight of a great trip. We met a couple who brought a sock monkey to the bar.... this stuffed animal had its own FB/ I-Gram Account Not kidding, you can't make this up.

That would be fun around here, only problem is it would be seasonal. Ferry company in Mackinaw built a pirate ship replica for excursions. Cruise lines starting out of Chicago this year. Lots of promise for the tourism economy again.

I always felt that more than one of the employees were on the lamb....there was a bartender that could drink a draft beer standing on his head.

Bummer, that was a blast drinking there. Hopefully the new one will be allowed because I want to go back and have fun there next summer.

Move it over to Coral Bay, Skinnys needs some competition. Also the BVI govt. can take the recent customs fee increase and stick it up there conch!

Ill never forget my first trip to the Willy-T at age 13. Watched a bunch of naked college chicks jump off the top for their free t-shirt. Good times. Obviously the older I got, the more fun it got.

Sail it to a different bunch of Islands and watch the business follow. The USVI's may be a choice. Try farther down the chain near Martinique. The Sailboat charter business is not isolated to the BVI's. I'm sure with a little effort and money the Willy- T will be anchored up there again. It's ALWAYS a matter of "How Much"?

I'm glad we got to experience it at Norman, but If they move to to The Sound on Virgin Gorda they would have more business than they could handle

This sucks, but someone would be glad and lucky to have them. Coral Bay area or even Christmas Cove would work well. The Pizza Pi in Christmas Cove is for sale (I'm not sure if it's still open or not) and that area sees a lot of snorkel, cruising traffic. I would think it would be best to stay in one location so everyone knows exactly where it is and also fuel ain't cheap down there.

The Willy T will now be anchored/moored in Great Harbour, Peter Island.

Seriously? You talking about dead mans bay? Right by peter island yacht club?!? Terrible Idea. Terrible. The summer swell alone will have that boat seriously rocking... and not in a good way.

You sure you aren't talking about great harbor at Jost? That makes more sense.

EDIT*** Looks like great harbor is where the peter Island ferry boats dock. If I remember correctly, there are 5 mooring balls in the entire bay.

Part of what makes the willy t work is that fact that norman island has 100 ++ mooring balls. You need lots of boat traffic to keep a dive bar afloat.

Sopers hole or great harbor at jost would be good options. Willy T is an eyesore and a small revenue generator for the BVI, but damn if that place doesn't make for some epic memories. about 10 years ago I was on that boat around 10pm drinking tequila out of the shot ski with a fully nude, fully shaved 25 year old with aftermarket tits, and her 70 year old boyfriend. She was working hard for that free tee shirt. good times...

This should be interesting.
The bay is really deep and most of the anchorage area is covered with mooring balls. They bay has about a 1/3 of what the Bight has for moorings.
I have always enjoyed the quietness of Great Harbour, and disliked the noise in the Bight, looks like I will be changing my routine.
