Talking What I did yesterday, (Fishing)

I spent My Day..
Helping Kids & young adults, that are Developmentally Disabled..
This was our 8th Year running, this "event"

Fishing with Special Friends
Tourney, if you can call it this, as Everyone goes Home a "WINNER"..
(So too speak)..
We volunteers, get Smiles & a great time with Kids, Fun helping them to Fish, MANY for the first time in their lives.. That is OUR Reward...

Everything is/was free, We provide bait, tackle, pier passes, & plenty of water to drink, (bottled water)...
We had Perfect temps & Weather...
Mid 70's, low Humidity, Light ESE winds, water was Caribbean green..
Best of all, the Fish were biting!

I don't know how many of ya'll,, that Salt water fish..
I know Most folks here, knows what a Cigar Minnow is...
During the Lil "Special friends" thing I volunteer for....
Though; one of the "Kids" caught a Cigar Minnow..
I was One of Two of the "Weigh-in" Master(s), so I can verify this..
This Cigar Minnow was the Biggest, I've EVER seen in My days, Salt water Fishing & King Mackerel Fishing..

This guy ALMOST weighed in at a POUND, (actually 14 ounces).. before We ran Him up to the King Fishermen up on the end of the pier..
That Cigar Minnow musta been a CUBAN Cigar Refugee.. He was so big...
Also watched some HUGE several Pompanos come over the rail, Weird for Spring, they were pushing 2 pounds Each...(great eating fish!)..

I'm doing, or have to edit pictures & video too make a Short Movie...
BUT, I'll leave you with this very short video, about 1/2 the folks here, in it were in attendance, (a lot left with their "prizes")..

Preview of the Movie I'll be working on this Week...

Good on you! We have a disabled veteran day coming up & I offered to supply all of the lures & my help on the boat if they need it.
