That is funny... uproar from the nanny state media wussies is that he was "pointing the gun at the kid" which in viewing the ad is not true at all. Just more ridiculous media hype and lies in headlines.

Actually quite genius. He is getting all sorts of free airtime and online views thanks to the media who thinks it is atrocious.

How long do you have to be a resident of GA before you can vote?

I might have to move there.

Funny, I do cringe when I see real guns being used as props. I hope at least the shotgun he had in his hands was a replica.

Same here. It's as great of a time as any to use guns in an ad. After all, it's a 1st Amendment right !!

Jackass. My Dad always told me not to point a gun at anything unless you are prepared to shoot it.

did you watch the video. Muzzle was clearly not pointed at the kid. It was pointed across the room, crossing in front of him.

I'd love to see some data or documentation of the "uproar." Seems like this guy is getting lots of extra mileage and air time out of the perception of it, which always makes me suspicious.

an unloaded gun is nothing more than a prop! from the looks of him im willing to bet there were multiple checks to ensure it was not loaded! not to mention its a double barrel, and it was broke open so it would be very obvious if it were loaded.

that gun has been hanging on his grandpas mantle for the last 50 years

The "dads with guns" rules for daughter dating is tired old garbage.

Love all the guns in the background leaned up against the wall and on the end table. He was cleaning the gun and had the barrel opened up (don't know the correct term for it) and then in the end, he clicks it shut...the gun is obviously in front of the young man in the scene, not pointed at him.Furthermore, he would have to pull the hammers back to cock it and then put his finger on the trigger to pull it. No one was in no danger in any way, shape or form......

I like the guy.
anyone trying to make anything negative out of the satire with the shotgun is a jackass, plain and simple.

He's polling less than 9% so he needed a big BANG to draw some attention to his otherwise lackluster campaign.
