Surfside. .. Great about 2 yrs... All female nurses, anal probe wouldn't have been enjoyable . but, one of them was pretty hot, great shape, and fishes. Took her out with me couple of times. She fought huge bonehead on light spinning rod, and a big king.

I went for treatment-Tecentriq- this morning but they could not get an IV started. I have avoided the port so far but the veins a getting beat-up pretty good. I was dehydrated and running a high BP. We are going to try again on Thursday so say a prayer. I really don't want the port but if it has to be, I have no choice.
I have a scan supposedly soon but not yet scheduled.
Chris, please update later today if you feel up to it.

I’ve been to treatment everyday (last two weeks) with Dad.
Unfortunaterly we had a setback & stayed with him in Thomas for last three weeks of November
Finally got a PEG (feeding tube) put in so he could get nutrition and hydration
Better for the moment-10 radiations and 2 chemo since discharge.
We’ve avoided port for now with PEG tube, so he only needs to get stuck once, or occasionally twice a week.

Barnacle, Surfside, Macabear, Spray, Mrs. Spray and The rest of the C-Club, praying daily for all of you and wishing each of you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed Nee Year. Hey Surfside, I like to use Healed in the name of Jesus instead of remission.

Barn, looking forward to great results from your doctor. Keep us updated. God Bless you all!!!

Dude! That's awesome and congrats. All female nurses for me as well and I went through a proctology exam during Bill and Teds most excellent adventure just cuz I was bored (and contracted MIRSA). Had a former colleague who's wife is a nurse there for the proctology exam and she asked if I would be embarrassed if she were in the room for the exam. I told her "Honey, your gonna get to see the best side of me"

My nurses are all angels... Couldn't do what they do every day and witness what they witness. I know that when we as patients win they win and each time I go back the tears of happiness are true and real... Being married I don't think my ICU nurse wife would have approved a day of fishing(u lucky bastard) but while sitting getting treatments anything that was a 5 or above had my attention for sure. Amazing how the scale slides when your sitting there getting treatments...

saved... Spot on! This remission thing is not in my vocabulary and anything less is unacceptable so "cured" was/is my term. But I sure do like the word "healed" as well cuz the big guy had a huge hand in my life and letting me live another day. FWIW, and I have to admit, I am not the church going type even though I have a special reverence for my little Presbyterian church but doesn't mean I don't believe in the "Big Guy"

We are involved in our church but that’s not where everyone is at. God looks at our hearts not at what appears to everyone else. You sound like you have a good relationship with the Lord. Be blessed my friend.

Same to you and enjoy this blessed time with your family and hopefully the "other" fat guy sticks a couple of 4 strokes in my stocking which would be much appreciated compared to the coal I seem to get. Somehow I gotta get off that list

THANK Y"ALL!
For the prayers....one stick and all was good. I usually get treatments every three weeks on a Tuesday. One of the usual nurses that picks me was off on Tuesday but was in today so we now call her "one stick Diana".
It actually was a "get back on task" realization for me. I am sure dehydration was the reason the nurses couldn't get the IV on Tuesday and entirely my fault. I've let myself drift back to complacency as far as my diet, exercise and such.
If I want to live, I better get back to work cause Cancer don't rest.
I have dodged the port so far and cancelled the consultation. I have a scan on the 27th and I told the nurse we'll decide then...I may be NED. I pray

Hang in there Warriors!!!

DONT MAKE ME COME DOWN THERE AND GIVE YOU A SWIFT KICK OF A BOOT UP YOUR BACKSIDE TO HELP YOU WAKE UP. Cmon brotha!!!

We need you to stick around here to beat up on Spray and Mac and everyone else(especially Spray since he is just a PIA so get the picture??? Need I splain it to you??? Dammm son...

Yeah you got to eat bro.

I lost a pound a day for the first 60 days (luckily I was NOT skinny when I started). And that was despite the fact I literally FORCED myself to eat. I figured that was the only way I'd make it after I saw people getting "nutrition" in a tube I was like F that.

It's hard to do, esp when you're puking and nauseous all the time.

For me, I found I was able to eat best very early in the morning.

Stay strong my brothers and sisters.

Well well well.... Looked who decided to show up to the party... Why if it aint Spray HIMSELF.

Lets get one thing straight, you have a face only a mother could love(and possibly your wife, poor women) so lets not get carried away with all this testing stuff... Nuff said. "Mic dropped' ... BANG Bang bang...

Chris: Good morning my friend! Wishing you and all of yours a very special Merry Christmas. As I mentioned to Spray, I'm hoping the big fat guy brings you the best present of all and thats good health and long life... We who have fought the "Big C" have discovered what it is all about and thats sitting and watching our loved ones tear into gifts, laugh, love, and share a very special day. For us it's even more special as we realize time on this earth is relatively short when you really think about it so soak up that love and let each and everyone of them know what they mean to you and pay it back in hugs and kisses... I know thats my plan today with my mom who is 87 and of course my wife and daughters.

Enjoy my friend as I know you will be sitting there with a big fat smile as will I...

Your brother in arms...

Default Thought of you and Spray

5 things ex-NFL player Devon Still wished he'd known about being a cancer dad

Chris: Thought I'd share this with you as well as everyone else touched by the "Big C"...
Some interesting insight for sure...

The scan results showed significant shrinkage and DR is very happy. We are going to continue with the immuno Tecentriq every 3 weeks.
It took two sticks this time and very high BP. Back to the PC....truly grateful for the support.
I want to thank all of y'all for your prayers.
