Working with hoses and lines around moving machinery, what do you expect. He's lucky it wasn't closer to the support structures.

If anyone tries to tell you the minimum wage needs to be 15 dollars an hour, just show them that video.

Funny! What was holding him so tight? You would figure the centrifugal force would have thrown him about 100'.

I don't find that funny or indicative of someone being stupid.

Unobservant and maybe uneducated about safe practices? YES! A failure of the ownership to train and teach safe practices? Absolutely.....

He's lucky, very lucky.....

Not funny at all to me.

That's all you got?

Whatever....

Still not funny. He could have easily been killed. Would YOU find that funny? Would YOU have been happy if he had died? Or maimed?

Get a life......

If your not the star of the show, you must be their personal injury lawyer?

He was between the spinny washy thingy and the pressure washing hose. So when the hose started to get wrapped around the spinny washy thingy he got strapped to it by the pressure washer hose.

I witnessed a similar incident several years ago. There were some differences such as the rotating equipment was horizontal, it was turning much more slowly, and it was in a more confined space.

Some maintenance personnel had entered the area in preparation to do some work. While staging some of their equipment, one of the guys got entangled in the rotating assembly exactly like this guy did.

Before the assembly could be shut down, he had been spun around by it many, many times. Almost every bone in his body was broken and he died right there. It was not a pretty sight and I still think about it often.

Remember, the assembly was turning much more slowly than that car wash brush was, yet there was nothing anybody could do but shut down the assembly and watch. It can happen extraordinarily fast.

Part of my job was to try to prevent accidents/incidents like this from happening. Procedures, physical barriers, electronic barriers, and training were some of the "tools" used to help people go home the same way that they came to work.

You can make fun of me all you want, but I'll say it again, I'm not laughing at that guy. He is extremely lucky.
