Default Quitting dipping

It's that time....

It's only been 5 hours since my last one and I'm already going crazy.....

Any advice from anyone? I threw it all away, not touching it anymore. For now I'm just knawing on wintergreen Life Savers since I dipped wintergreen..
Doing whatever it takes.

The first 3 days are the hardest. Im on day 6 copenhagen free. Yesterday and today i did not even really think about it. Once you get past 3 days the hardest part is breaking the habit of buying a can when you usually would. Hang in there and it will get better. This is my second time around with quitting.

If the hottest chick in the world came walking around the corner and you were dipping do you honestly think she'd dig your mouth and would want to french neck? lol

Thanks man..

I think the hardest part is going to be on the water this weekend... There was nothing like backing that boat in the water, watching the sun rise, and having a lip in. But I already told myself, that's it. I don't care how bad I feel, I'm just going to go through it..

Good luck man. I’ve “quit” for a few weeks here and there and it’s definitelt hard. I think the biggest thing is really wanting to and making up your mind to do it.

I found that the fake mint dip helped. Just something to put in your lip to get over the first couple of weeks then cold turkey the mint and chew gum until you are over it. I thought it was harder than stopping cigarettes but bott were many many years ago. Good luck.

Gum or lollipops.

The mint dip is disgusting and stains Yuor fingers. They make a corn silk one on Amazon that actually feels like you're putting a dip in.

Congrats, yes, the first 3 days are the worse,,,,,,,but I wasn't truly off it until I lasted 2 years without a relapse. Fight with wife, buy dip, drinking with old friends who dip, pinch a dip of theirs, long trip get gas and dip. Falling off the wagon is easy. Just keep jumping back on. When I finally quit for good, I got sore throat every time I went back. It killed me to toss a full can of dip but my body won out. I'm pretty sure for most tobacco addictions it takes at least 3 attempts to finally quit. Good luck and keep quitting.

look at it a day at a time, get to day 3 and it will start to get easier. I started out dipping then went to chewing, red man golden blend. Anyway I quit 10 years ago. Just keep using the candy.

I only dipped for 4 years , I quit January 1, 2000 . The difference in the work my dentist had to do (and the cost) was night and day.

Been about a year and half or so for me. Dipped for 15 years. Started early. Still carry around Smokey mountain fake snuff. It’s definitely not the real stuff but keeps me from chewing mints or gum. Used the patches for about a week until I realized it wasn’t the nicotine that had me. Was the habit of doing it. No longer on bp meds at 33. Make it two weeks and your good.
