Wow, what a punch Tyson had. In his prime, I don't know if Ali would have been able to beat Tyson or not. Would have been interesting to see.

Too bad for Tyson that he had so many bloodsuckers around him that took advantage of him.

I remember that fight. I remember all of them.
I liked this line from the commentator about Berbick standing flat footed, right in front of Tyson "It's great that he has the courage, but it's a very poor fight plan against Tyson. He's gonna go down!"

And this one: "His body won't do what his mind mind wants to!"

Tyson WAS amazing. Fast and powerful. The glory days of "the sweet science". Mills Lane. Angelo Dundee. I watched every fight also.

Same here, Tyson was very well trained. Excellent footwork and head movement along with speed and power.

Both in their prime. Tyson beats Ali 99/100 times.

I wouldn't put money on your numbers that's for sure. Tyson's era he only fought chumps whereas Ali had a bevy of heavyweights that could really bust heads. Ali's Mike Tyson was Smokin' Joe Frazier.

Berbick, what a warrior, he was ready to come back for more.

Tyson, I know the media paints him as a bad guy, maybe he is. But note how he always checks on his opponent after knocking them out. Sportsmanship right there. Too bad one bad incident overshadows all of this...

Tyson early one was a class act, as he was brought up to be by Cus, he turned into a POS under the dick head with the hair. It took him years to mature and I'm glad he did, seems much more centered now.

I had the displeasure of meeting him through business when he was with Robin Givens, complete asshole at the time.

You don't count very good do you. Obviously you never followed his lustrous career. In the ring or on the streets he was every bit the thug he was that grew up on the streets brooklyn. Even in the Berbick fight, how many elbows did you see him throw?

Tyson didn't have a chin.... and Ali was a great tactician and could take a punch ....

So Ali would have probably won that fight ...

I was / am a big Tyson fan for his thrilling knockouts and theatrics ..... and he could fight when needed..

Too bad his only positive influence in life died -- straight downhill from there...

His current wife has had a very positive influence on him, and as the other poster said he is very well centered now. Been that way for years so it hasn't been a fly by night thing.

Always been a huge Tyson fan.

I was a hvwy boxer in the Army during the Tyson era. He was a big deal to me.

I recently did a one on one meet and greet with Tyson. Interesting to say the least. I had my arm around him and we shook hands a few times. He felt like he was made of stone.

I also met Foreman and Holyfield over the years while boxing.
Holyfield was smaller than I expected in person. But had muscles on top of muscles.
Foreman was just like you’d expect. Kind hearted giant. Big man, felt like his hand wrapped around mine twice when we shook hands.

Both in their prime, I say Ali beats Tyson. Ali was much much smarter. He would have roped that dope. Ali would have to be very careful but I believe he would have.

Hardest puncher of all time (I believe according to Holmes) was the great white hope...glass chin Jerry Cooney.
