Think they were going to mount his head to a tree in their trophy lair?

What do you find oozing between lion fangs? Slow running natives---Not every African is a track star, especially that poacher.

Interesting story. There will be three more threads by morning.

Maybe two more threads on the youngsters from Colorado that sank their boat a day after setting out to sail the world on $90.

THT is fun.

Hmmmmm....Consider they say that Cecil & Xanda were shot in South Africa, I might question the authenticity of the article.

Both were shot in Zimbabwe for what it's worth.

Considering that Zimbabwe boarders South Africa that might explain the confusion....

Once those lions have developed a taste for humans the whole pride may need to be killed off...

Poachers who illegally kill animals for money are in a class of their own. What else is there to do for money though in this part of the world. If a dude kills a couple of lions or elephants to help his family stay dry and have something to eat, can't say I would blame him. That is probably not the case though. Probably hired or contracted semi-local poachers who, for pennies on the dollar, provide the valuable products to some Prince of Zimbabwe or something, who sells to a broker somewhere.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Sometimes nature wins. Good for the cats.
