Default Found Paradise.....

Short history. Raised as a child in New Jersey until roughly 6th grade. Moved to Central Florida and lived there in same area until the present time.....35 years old.

Traveled to Negril and Ocho Rios for honeymoon and anniversary but other than that never left the US.

So currently my job sent me to Bakers Bay for 2 weeks to work. We are staying in a house in Treasure Cay. All I can say is holy mother of God Bakers Bay is absolutely gorgeous.

As much as I am enjoying the view and taking it all in, part of me feels guilty and depressed that places like this exist and I will never be able to afford to let my children expirence something like it.

Bloody hell, you just ruined it. Now every joker with no imagination on retirement hotspots is going to motor on over and before long it will look like Port St. Lucie.

It's not just Baker's Bay, these guys do it right in a lot of different settings. Kudos to Discovery and kudos to those that can afford it.

I've taken my wife and son to a lot of places, and they say they enjoyed Iceland and Finland the best so far. So I guess not everyone prefers tropical paradise. Although it is 12°F in Michigan this morning, I suspect they might choose the tropics today.

Apparently you have not been to “Hollywood” AKA Hope Town, I do agree with you about Bakers, but HT is a different kind of beauty.

Say "Hi" to Lydia the bartender for me. Tell her Chris from the Perfect Season said it and to give you a drink or two on me!

She's awesome. She used to work at Boat Harbour Marina and we lost her to Bakers Bay.

Went to the website - 10 mil an acre for some empty homesites . Not sure how wealthy I'd have to be to pay that - makes Ocean Reef sound reasonable . Bahamas are pretty though - I worked on West End - 1/4 mi offshore 1000 ft water depth trolling for wahoo was cool .

More like 1% ers.

Been there for several months over the last year. It’s pretty incredible but not realistic for the average guy.

Takes 3 years to get a house built, and they finish start several each month. Almost all the docks are sold.

The place is doing great but they are having growing pains.

I hate to tell you this but

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

An that was after Mr. Peabody’s coal train done hauled it away.

Ask the locals about all of the broken promises they were fed about Bakers Bay, ask them about element that has been brought onto "their" island by Bakers Bay.
Ask them what paradise looked like prior to Bakers Bay.

Been going to Guana for over 20 years and have seen the changes that development has brought to the island.
I will agree, it is paradise but not " because" of Bakers Bay!

Also heading over the second week of July and staying on Guana.

Infrastructure, or personnel? Can't imagine much else that money can't make go away.
