Some FEMA federal grant money and they will be back in business. With a brand new sail bote. Paid for with money that we are borrowing but won't have to pay back in maybe a hundred years. Or maybe they will just print some extra cash. It all goes to stimulate the economy.

Life is good here in the USA.

You guys should start a go fund me page for them so they can get a gps/depth finder and not rip the keel of their next boat

The reporter said its going to cost $6700 for them to salvage the sail boat yet the couple said that's more than what they paid for the sail boat...... Based on the information I've gathered and lets just say it is accurate information, maybe these two need to focus on reality. If your going to cry about losing a four digit boat, I can't wait until you total your brand new car.

The funny part is that they said they paid $5k and put another $5k into it. So that's $10k...

Yet they see it as being into it for less than $6700.

Common Core Math?

I know... I know... what they PAID for it. I guess the didn't "pay" the other $5k?
LOL.

How can people feel bad for them? That’s about the worse plan someone could come up with. Sailing all over with $90 to your name?

It would seem to me that most people straight from Colorado are probably not the most experienced boaters.
