This is heavily processed by software using guesstimates. I doubt that the bow is actually under water.

Google Maps 3D looks strange when there's movement. If you look at a flag flying at the end of a flagpole, it appears like a tree, because the flag moved all over the place. I bet that waves may have broken over the bow and gave the impression that the foredeck was submerged.

The overhead image is from 2018. This ground-level photo is from 2013.

The 2013 wreck looks much worse than the 2018 boat. I doubt it improved itself over five years while remaining sunk :-)

Boat.

No membership. "testing the waters" so to speak - for a possible extended vacation next year.

VERY NICE.

That is a trip I would like to do. I was seriously thinking about reaching Isla by pwc. But now that we have a boat we might try to make it in more comfort.

For fishing from shore, I used Bing maps with the birds eye view which used aerial rather than satellite imaging. It was very useful in identifying potential structure. Another handy feature was you could view from either north, south, east or west perspectives which often helped if one particular view had glare off the water from above. It has since been removed from Bing maps. I think this is due to licensing with Here mapping (former Nokia division)
The google enhancement is a nice try but as your link shows, it needs a bit of work still.
