Default Engel HD30

Anyone put their hands on one of these yet? Curious if anyone has one and what they think of it?

The only reviews I've found are from the Engel website and the guy at coolersonsale.com.
They all say it's pretty solid but it's a pretty small sample size...

I recently saw a report from an independent testing facility that had just about every cooler manufacturer you could think of with a product in the mix ... the ;mix' was the 60qt market ... anything within a few qts. was tested and I was surprised to read that Engel won ... it was a fairly simple test ... equal amounts of ice in a controlled environment, coolers were checked once each day ... on day 8 only the Engel still had ice ... as I was researching in preparation of a purchase I went with the Engel and have been pleased ... it even cost about 15% less than the industry std. Yet I went with Engel ...

Sounds like you got a roto? The HD30 is a newer model soft side from Engel.

I just picked one up at west marine 139.00 I believe I will like it. Yeti roadie is a lug when packed. My yeti hopper is a pain to get into. HD 30 opens wide.

30 is way to low for High Definition.

But if you are after soft-sided coolers, check the ones at Buc-ee's. Holds about 24 cans, and costs twenty bucks.
It may not win an 8 day ice melting test, but it keeps my drinks cold for the whole afternoon.

I did end up buying this cooler about 2 months ago and I've been happy with it. It seems to be durable, it keeps my drinks chilly all day, it's easy to get things in and out of, but the best thing about it is the zipper is much easier to open\close. My small kids can do it themselves but they had a hard time with the yeti zipper. It got kind of annoying when I had to help them every time they wanted something from it, which seems to be about every 20 minutes on a hot day.

I see you got it and are happy.....awesome because I was recently gifted one of these. Am hoping it's as good as they are saying, the most expensive cooler I've ever gone for was when I sprung for the igloo with wheels!

It'll be nice to have a good soft sider.

I just got one for fathers day, held ice for 30 hrs in full sun for some of that time. Big enough for lunch and beers for family of 4, easy to get into it and I had no problem cleaning it out at the end

Was gifted one a few weeks ago and just used it for the first time. Was packed with a semi cool 12 pack, 10lb bag of ice, 2 frozen 20oz gatorade bottles and various other already cool drinks and food. Packed up and got on the boat about 11am on Tue for a pleasure ride with the wife, We got back home and were beat after being in the heat all that time about 10pm Tuesday night. It had been sitting in the kitchen since then (long work days) and it's now Thursday about 8pm and I just unloaded. No ice, but everything that was still left was very cold.

Overall....I'm impressed. Time will tell on how durable it is.
