http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018/...-big-game.html

There was a thread here a while back where several posts tried to convince everyone that the majority of vets don't care about the NFL's blatant disrespect for our flag, what a load of crap! One even said they were with several Navy Seals who didn't care, another load of crap IMO. One of my brothers is a a retired Navy Seal and everyone of his brothers, ( Seal brothers ) is boycotting the game tonight as am I.

Folks, don't fall for the crap being spewed from those who say things like the majority of vets don't care.....That is 100% garbage!!!!

For those who watch the game tonight, I truly hope it's a great game with good commercials for you, absolutely zero hard feelings towards any of you, you have that right, given to you by those who died for your freedom. As I have my right to not watch. Just don't buy any of the complete garbage and lies about the majority not caring. That's completely disingenuous and false!

Not watching and don't care/ no regrets. Enjoying a nice rainy Sunday night. They can all screw off. Commercials used to be good. Halftime shows used to be good. And players used to honor the country that gave them the opportunity to make a bunch of money throwing a football around. Players used to be good role models too. Do I need to say anymore?

Kids were just telling me of this puppy bowl thing.

FIL, who is a die-hard NFL watcher... told me that apparently the NFL has a huge issue with their key demographic, and it isn't getting any better any time soon.

I don't mind the social aspects of watching the game, but the game itself? Meh.

This vet doesn't care how a bunch of trained performers act, feel or what gestures they make. Just get out there and entertain me along with the coke commercials.

If they want to make a gesture that will get my attention, give half their salary to neighborhood youth programs that prevent violence. That would get my attention.

Me, nor most of my friends, will be watching. My father, retired USMC fighter pilot, refuses and it hurts him not to watch. He was a huge football fan. I will respect his decision and join him in his boycott. I lived his life and I sacrificed my father's time (as a parent to his child) to protect and serve this country. **** the NFL. Semper Fi, dad!

Watching supercross on Foxsports. I keep debating if I was in the race, would I be lapped 3 or 4 times per lap? These guys are amazing.

Last year I did watch the Super Bowl, only game I watched. Not turning it on this year.

Not a football fan, but wouldn't watch it if I was.
