Default Newest Carry Gun

The newest gun in the carry rotation. Wilson Combat Ultralight Carry in .45acp. 31 oz , round butt, deep crown barrel, flush cut slide stop heavy chamfer bottom of slide, fluted barrel hood, conceal carry hammer and beavertail grip safety, carbon steel slide and adon. alum. frame., trijicon night sights. ball end mill cut and carry cuts on slide. I am loving it. Ran it at range today and ate everything I fed it. Name: fbRGn1K.jpg

Damn! Sweet!

A litttle off topic, how do you carry a full size 1911, especially in Florida where you probably wear shorts and t-shirts, etc. most of the time. I'm a huge 1911 fan but catch myself carrying smaller pistols du to size and weight.

Honestly I have no problem at all. I always carry OWB at 3-4 oclock. I buy holsters that hold tight to my body. I can carry my G20 with a Columbia shirt no problem. My 1911's are no issue. IWB might be tough but OWB is easy. I am not a big or heavy guy either. T shirts I buy one size larger

Oh yeah! That's a nice pistol and Wilson makes some good ones.
That is definitely pistol porn.

That's a beauty and as fine a carry gun as any .45 ever built.

Seems a bit large for carry - especially in SFLA, but a true work of art

Congrats and enjoy

My next 1911 will be a similar Wilson in 9mm. Also considering Nighthawk which is now offering double-stack

Excellent choices both. My favorite 1911's are my Guncrafters. You owe it to yourself to check them out if you haven't. They are building me another No Name in 45acp as we speak. GI is also bringing out a double stack in the second quarter of this year. IMO you can't go wrong with GI, Nighthawk , or Wilson. The previously owned market is really soft on high end 1911's right now. Some great buys on safe queens.

Can’t go wrong there, I own each brand...
