Default Window World - 6000 series windows

Anyone have any experience with them?

About to replace a whole bunch of windows with the 6000 series windows. Looking for feedback on both the windows and the company. I know it's a franchise but that's about all I know.

thanks in advance,

Dave

I had them do my house, and then they did my parents house, They have been great and great after the sale. I couldn't figure out how to lay them down inside to clean, they came out no problem and walked me through a couple of things.
I would say go for it.

Never heard of them, but I've got double hung PVC windows with insulated glass. 20 years of Florida sun and hurricanes.

I think they go by a different name but are essentially the same, but not positive.

If they ask for a deposit up front, id run. If you are still inclined to make a small deposit, do it by credit card. If they wont take a credit card deposit, id eun. Whatever you do, dont pay by check or debit.

I am in the window business and can say that I would not discount the ability of window world to do a good install. I would however never have a private label or exclusive window installed. They change the chambers, reduce weight, and change internal components to fit their price range.

As to the deposit, most of my business is payment upon completion and many projects exceed 30-50k. I will however not order a window job without a 50% deposit. They are 100% custom made for your home. I have no use for them anywhere but your house.

This, absolutely. Deposits for CUSTOM materials are common. Maybe WE don't trust the customer either....

I tried to give them my business but the salesman here in Athens was a prick. The windows they had on display looked pretty well built fwiw...
