Fingers crossed on this one.

Drivers licenses, marriage license are all honored by other states. Pistol licenses should be as well.

Ain't gonna happen. They need 60 in the Senate, and they'll never see it. Doubt it'll even come up for a vote in the Senate.

I love this quote.

Rep. Elizabeth Esty, D-Conn., called the bill an attempt to undermine states' rights, "hamstring law enforcement and allow dangerous criminals to walk around with hidden guns anywhere and at any time...."

How many "dangerous criminals" does she reckon are walking around with valid concealed carry permits? You just can't make this stuff up!

It’s way too logical for our politicians to allow.

I can't see it in states like NY. Yes your permit is valid in NY state but you must follow NY state laws for pistol registration and concealed carry.

Federal will trump state in this case.

I don't have to register my truck in NY to drive there.

There is case law that will make sure this one would be allowed, if it was challenged, or if someone used the gay marriage laws to get it done in the courts.

Gawd I hope your wrong about it getting through the Senate. Seeing that they havn't even confirmed half of President Trump's appointments, you're probably right.

I bet NJ cops would have their hands full trying not to shoot an out of state driver when he says, "I'm a CC holder and armed."

Be carful you guys don't get yourselves shot.

She's a real piece of work , along with Murphy and Blumie . They exert maximum control on the law abiding because it's an easy out , making it look as if they are "doing something" . Meanwhile , the shootings by those who could give a crap about any law continue in all our CT cities .

Do some research.

I'm all for national reciprocity, but the bill is going to be merged with the "fix nics" bill.

It will be one of those fake reciprocities. Example: DE offers real estate reciprocity to anyone with a license from a state that has 99 hours or more of pre-licensing education. No other state has 99 hours or more...

Yeah, but do you get locked up, a felony charge, and facing 5-15 years for not having a DE real estate license?

If DE (or any state) tried that angle, it would get thrown out of court immediately.

http://www.secondamendmentdaily.com/2017/12/heres-list-just-10-republicans-vote-feinstein-gun-control/

They combined the bills, setting the stage to trash national reciprocity and likely attatch a whole lot of other bs to the fix NICS bill.

Fun FYI... You can get a Virginia out of state pistol permit with a phony class cert and 100 bucks vs NC with 10 hours of class time to get a NC conc permit.

Even a NYS issued permit isn't valid in NYC.
