I still do not understand the mentality of shooting anyone for no good reason.

Why do you pull someone over when off duty and with a civilian? Glad the asshat got life with a big one up his butt.

It was very thoughtful of the officer to advise the young felon and provide him with vital supplies.

Maybe he should have demonstrated with his baton.

Poor decision on the leo's part. Certainly as the victim of attempted murder he must feel a bit of triumph and relief but advocating for violent sexual assault as a leo does not look good imo though most will understand.

I dont remember why but I think he has just cut someone off or the put out a BOLO (BE ON THE LOOKOUT) for the car because he was involved in a domestic.. He had a reason thou I know that

Also on the Flipside, remember the azzhats that would be there to say "that is his job" to STOP that car as he is driving a department vehicles he did nothing. It is that can't win catch 22 for a LEO..

I get it, but if it's me, my obligation is to protect the innocents among us. If my kid or family member is in the car, I'm looking the other way.

I agree, surely he thought there was no real threat and goes to point out the threat is ALWAYS there...

I also must say THE OFFICER WAS THE WARRIOR that day, hit 3 times and still returned fire on a fleeing coward!!!

Cracker, my opinion is anyone that shoot and kills a LEO should receive the death penalty-immediately,
What say you?

I think ANY SUSPECT that is convicted AND THERE IS CLEAR INDISPUTABLE EVIDENCE (like Video or other evidence) should be put to death. Unfortunately, we are still releasing convicted murderers THAT ARE INNOCENT.. If you watch some of the TV crime shows, you will see some people convicted of killing someone on very circumstantial evidence and that bothers me....

Who said anything about advocating for violent sexual assault ? There's a lot of nonviolent consensual sex going on in prisons. He'll may need the KY for that....

I don't think he was advocating for sexual assault. I think it was more like he was dispensing medical advice without a license.

As for that little turd, 25 years before being eligible for parole is not enough. He should never be eligible.

Geezuz... that kid. I don't think I've ever seen a more smug looking little bastard. Pure freakin' evil right there.

I think the cop should be allowed to personally demonstrate to that little jackal how to use KY by shoving the whole tube where the sun don't shine!

With ALL RESPECT, if you have never had someone try and TAKE your life you would never understand the feelings you feel as a victim particularly a suspect as smug as that little PR!CK..... I wonder if you would say the same thing if a soldier had said it??

This! That little bastard should be buried under the jail. A life sentence should be just that.

Why was the convict wearing the mittens on his hands? Never seen this before.

If you get shot a few times including once in the face, a remark like that in court to the shooter is OK in my book. Just a friendly public service announcement. The kid should have received the death penalty. 25 years will do nothing to change him at this point.

What I still can not understand is why the officer put his sons life at risk. Stay back and call for back up but engaging the criminal with a young kid in the car is just stupid or him trying to show off.

^^^^ My kid rode with me at 17 and got his badge at 19. It is part of the natural progression for kids to follow in dad's steps. He pulled the car for something fairly minor, the gun battle was totally unexpected.... It is expected that officer's respond to minor issues when observes in department vehicles.. I will admit many people on the force discussed this shooting and him.having his kid with him.
