"after he went to a Mobile gas station in the luxury car and started asking people for money so he could buy gas, police said."
How did the thief get that car to a gas station in Alabama? And, why did the Santa Ana police follow him there?

some of these responses are worthy of 3AM on New Year's Eve.... To save face, I'm posting what was classic:

Friedman’s (the girl/car owner) insurance company wrote her a check for the damaged vehicle, which she used to buy a 2018 Lamborghini Huracán.

“I love it,” she said. “It’s unbelievable.”

I notice they attributed gone in 60 seconds to Nicholas Cage 2000 movie and not the original 1974 Toby Halicki gone in 60 seconds.

The 2000 movie was good... the original was 100 times better!

Her husband is Richard Friedman, President and COO of Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking.

They are Billionares. Earlier this month they sold stock as insiders and disclosed they collected slightly under $500 Million. He was also one of the periphery who briefly took heat in 2010 for taking Obama Bailout money and he got a bonus of over $20 Million from bailout funds. F them.

Two words: Road Trip!

I took a 1980 280ZX (I owned it) and left Atlanta at 5:00 pm. At 5:00 pm the next day, I was pulling into my hotel in PHX. I'm sure there are still warrants for my arrest all along I-10.

No name attributed to the "author" of the article. I wouldn't put my name on that steaming pile of dung either.
