Default Crazy Ice Maker

I have a GE Monogram undercounter icemaker. About 10 years old. Well, a couple months ago, it gave up. So, after a few surgeries, I've changed the pump, the board, the switches and the thermistor that shuts it down when it's full. It started working. But now, it runs for about 36 hours, shuts off for a day or so, and repeats. I can hear the compressor running when it's shut down and the drain pump works when it's shut down. It's been doing that for about a month or so. Any ideas what's up with it?

It runs. It runs for a day or so then shuts down then magically comes back on in a day or so without doing anything to it.

Are you sure compressor is running and not just drain pump? Sounds like slow drain causing safety switch to trip until it drains out enough and starts again.

Klixon is a brand name, what I have replaced recently is an 'overload switch' setting on the exterior of the compressor. Google klixon
