Default Anyone suffering from...

What I call High Enthusiasm/Low motivation disorder. Damn the older I get the harder it is for me to get going doing the things I like to do.
Maybe I'm just getting lazy...

Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

It's called higher income disorder. You don't have to have motivation to feed yourself.

I have all the Pex supplies to replumb my entire 2000 sq/ft house (~$900). I have paint for every interior room of the house (~$300). I have a gutted bathroom, design plans for the bathroom, lights, ventilation fan, even the damn mirror (~$500, need plumbing done first). I have a new faceplate for the car stereo (original is peeling, ~$100). Air nailers to help with the bathroom (see above, ~$150).

I'll start it all next weekend...........

I'm just the opposite. I do things before the need done. Today I emptied and moved a hot tub, ripped up the deck under it , went to my daughters house and painted the kitchen and hall. Then moved all my patio furniture to her house for a party she is having next week. I stopped at 4:30 it started raining. I'm 63

May I suggest. Tonight right down 1 thing you need to do tomorrow. When you get up ,do it. Each day make the list a bit longer. When you are done each day reward yourself with a beer , smoke, piece of cake whatever.

I did manage to get about 250' of vinyl put up on the north side of my music shack today.
It was a struggle
Once I get going I seem to be alright , it's the gettin' goin' that is the problem.,

I used to be a regular fireball, now it seems like I'm the afterglow of a bottle rocket........

Don't fall in to the trap of sleeping late, set your alarm and get up early to start your day and get going.

Oh boy can I relate. I used to take the boat out every chance I could but now I weigh in my mind is it worth the effort? I have been sleeping in later & later & just can't motivate myself to do anything. My wife has noticed it also. My last physical I had done I asked the doctor what could be the problem? He said you naturally slow down as you age but I told him that it's worse than that. He asked me to get my blood tested so he could see if there was anything wrong with my thyroid or anything else out of wack. Everything came back as normal & I never brought it up again. I just started taking this stuff my wife bought for me called 8greens. It's supposed to give you energy by getting rid of toxins in your body. So far I don't feel any different.

Last physical I asked my dr. to check my testosterone levels. The results came back and he said I was just lazy.
