Gave up duck hunting over water years ago, too many good opportunities in dry harvested crop fields where you don't need a retriever.

I do kinda miss hunting over water.

I hunted down in Argentina one year and that spoiled me on duck hunting. I can't take the cold weather up here. This was a 2 hour shoot. The rules are you allowed to shoot as many ducks as you can with 5 boxes of shells

I have chased ducks from Argentina to Canada and most places in between. Nothing better than unleashing hate on those feathery things. We hunt timber, swamps, and impoundments primarily though. Not much of an opportunity to hunt over fields around here and with VERY conservative limits on black heads, I got out of the diver game.

I am driving to Canada at the end of the month with a few buddies and my dog to hunt for a week.

The best hunting as far as number was Argentina but we have had some special times in Canada as well. We also love to dove hunt so Bolivia, Columbia, and Mexico are up there.

We had one day in Argentina where my dad and I killed 143 ducks in the AM and I shot 972 doves and 112 pigeons in the afternoon.
