Default My parents are coming

I need to know real quick what drugs I can mix so that I just sorta phase out all weekend. Ya know, almost dead, barely breathing, and immune to the nonsense.

If you have access to Cyclobenzaprine, chase a couple down with vodka.... Just don't drive after you do, unless of course you have to go somewhere.

I crush em up and put em my girlfriends afternoon and weekend toddies when she's not looking.... takes about 15 minutes but eventually she leaves me alone.

She always says she gets the best rest when she's around me

My parents are in there mid-60s. They come for a few weeks in the winter since they retired. I always find small jobs for my dad to do. One always involves a light bulb, old guys love light bulbs. Last year I unscrewed one before I went to work one day and he was on it before I got to work.

Interesting, never occurred to me to drug them. That could make for an interesting weekend.

Just stole my suggestion. If they drink, get them some wine and maybe that'll help.

100% mom will arrive in the bag. Wonder how many muscle relaxer it will take for her to sleep the entire time.

Another idea would be to pop a few ambien and fight the urge to sleep. Then just wander around the house aimlessly all weekend.

100% chance my mom bitches about me spending too much time on the internet. Then I'll be all... fine bitch, uncomfortable silence it is!

Also a 100% chance that Julie mouths off at some point. That will be hilarious. I'll try to catch it on video.

At least there will be football on.

Jules is the wifey. Poor thing is the lone brunette in the sea of blondes that are the women in my family.

Took the pic down because my sister knows quite a few folks in the boating world in Charleston. Here's a fresh pic of Jules.

If they like rum, just dump 151 into the normal bottle, and suggest daiquiris. Should do the trick before they have a chance to slow down.

I get that, and I am truly happy you had the kind of relationship with your mom that would cause you to say that. Our relationship isn't like that. I'll get to hear (IN AN EXTREMELY ANNOYING PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE WAY) that my life choices just don't measure up to her standards. Which is extremely laughable given her life choices.

Luckily I've made peace with that a long time ago and it's a big reason I'm the only member of my family that resides in NC. It'll still suck to hear it all weekend though and Julie really doesn't care for it. She deals with enough having MS. She doesn't need my mom to lay a bunch of BS mom guilt on her too. By the end of the weekend I will have to step in and remind them that we're quite capable of dropping all their nonsense like a hot rock.

Tell them not to come if you feel that strong about it.

This is the first real visit after we ran them off about 5-6 years ago. Felt like I owed them another shot before they get too old to travel.

LOL, yea I was just being sentimental.

My wife and her parents don't mix well either.

Mine checked out in 2001 & 2003, still miss them.....
