Default Speeding ticket experts in Florida?

My daughter just got a ticket 29 mph in a 20 mph school zone. I expect this to be a teaching moment for her as she is a fairly new driver and she will be going to traffic school (not online).

Anyway, I am looking at the citation and the vehicle registration info is completely incorrect. It shows her in a 2008 Gray Chevy with tag #xxxxx. My daughter drives a 2017 Gray Hyundai Tuscon with tag #yyyyy.

Would this be an immediate throw out in traffic court??

Should make the ticket null and void.

How to get out of a ticket 101... Set it for court / don't show up. The next day reschedule the court date. 9 out of 10 the officer will not show. Judge will either throw it out (if your Daughters record is good) or offer a plea of no contest, no points, no school, no fine, only court cost. If he does show up, just plea no contest.

Nah I think she might be legit off the hook with all of those mistakes, but I'm not a lawyer.

Doubtful. Judge can amend a ticket with the correct plate. School zone is going to make thatticket hurt. Not a lawyer.

Only thing I'm not sure about....... In Florida she would have had to sign the ticket. Not sure what that does for your (her) case.

Call the police station and tell them about the problem. I am sure they could simply stop by your place and make a new ticket with the correct info on it if you are that concerned. Surely it isn't that difficult to correct.

No funny at allhad that happen when I went to pay a ticket in New Orleans in 1989. Motorcycle cop caught me making an illegal turn and wrote me up with my dad arguing a blue streak. Went to take care of it the next day and they sent me to another department to wait and wait. What they didn't tell me was the cops saddle bag came open and he lost all of the tickets he wrote the day before. I was waiting for him to come back to the department so he could rewrite my ticket from the day before. The guys eye almost popped out when he saw what he was going to have to do infront of his superiors. He apologized the whole time but i got a new ticket.
I also never paid it

Those details seem pretty far off. Was she driving someone else's car?

I expect this to be a teaching moment
Perhaps teaching her to pay a ticket she deserved would be a good idea instead of how to try to beat the system.

I don't think what car you were driving makes a lot of difference.

Typos happen. It's not a homicide investigation.

Speeding in a school zone......sounds like she deserves to pay the ticket. I know a guy that was struck by a speeder in a school zone and received lifelong health issues from it. Have your daughter pay the ticket and tell her she'S lucky it wasn't worse

As a fireman, I've patched up the kids that have gotten hit by cars. Not a pretty sight. Them kids will dash into traffic because they're kids and don't know any better. It's our responsibility to watch out for their safety.
Good and cheap opportunity to learn this time. Running over and squashing a child is the expensive lesson.

Give it to one of those ticket lawyers and forget about it. Or just pay the fine and take the class and be done with it.

All good points.

I think she got lucky because the fine is only $157 and she is freaked out, embarrassed and truly remorseful. She wanted to pay the ticket online last night even though I suggested we may be able to turn it into a warning. Also turns out the ticket was issued 10 minutes before school lets out so no kids in site. I'm conflicted.

I'm surprised that driving school is optional, not mandated. IMHO, she should pay the ticket, attend the school, and stop speeding in school zones. "Beating the system" will not provide her the teaching moment that she needs.

My son gets his learner's permit next month. I have already advised him that if he gets a ticket in a school zone, he will not be driving for a year.

Pay it and take traffic school for no points, or call the Ticket Clinic. They'll more than likely be able to get her out of it with no points, and you just pay them. Either way she has to pay $$$ for what she did.

I got a speeding ticket on the highway a few months ago and sent it to the ticket clinic. I had not gotten a ticket in like 10 years before that. They did away with it completely....no points / not on record. Was well worth it for me.

9mph over and her being a first time offender id recommend it.

None of the above. My brother is still paying for "making him learn his lesson" from years back. Granted more severe but nothing that deserves the consequences of making him pay for his lesson.

This

Hire an attorney or this altho I have no experience with the traffic Ticket Clinic. She has learned her lesson but don't need to be paying for it for the next 5 years on insurance etc.
