Default Pulled the trigger on a used Class C motor home

Well, I did the deal. Traded in my 2013 Rockwood 2304S pull behind for a 2012 Thor Freedom Elite 26E yesterday!! Love the layout and it's just perfect for me , my dog and the occasional female visitor

I took it to my local ford dealer and had them change oil and go through everything. I'm good to go! Spent most of today outfitting it with stuff I bought in anticipation of buying one.

Probably do a short road trip to where my kids /sister/best friend lives for a trial run. Thinking of heading to Canada to visit a friend near Lake Simcoe then coming back thru northern PA. Maybe the Blue Ridge Parkway in early October?

Congratulations. I always thought I would enjoy a motor home, but my wife puts the nix on the idea.

Good on ya!! Something that size is great because you can fit into any camping spot, and its still big enough to be a home; especially with that slide-out. Have fun!

Reasons vary, but we got one when passing rest stops made the next 60 miles hell on her. A little bathroom whenever Momma wants one is a blessing; made more so when we're in Atlanta traffic and can't move anywhere.

We stay at COE campgrounds as much as possible and that makes travel really cheap. For example, our trips to Asheville from Fairhope, AL cost a lot less(70% less) using a motor home then they do using motels and restaurants, and we are living on water's edge usually.

Just the two of us, but wouldn't trade it for any other form of travel.

Plan on mid week if on the BRP during leaf season. It gets real crowded on the weekends. There are websites that will tell you we're the leafs are at there peak color. And don't forget the that Skyline Drive goes through Shenandoah in Va. it is also not to far to hit Gettysburg Pa. The Monghela National Forest also a nice drive in West Virginia.

Good for ya!

Wife and I are (still) discussing. Will likely get more serious once we get home from our month in The Smokies. Toying w idea of coming to FLA in winter, buying one and staying (yes, sorry, more Yank snowbirds).

We have a 30 foot class A, nothing like traveling with your own bed and toilet but you know that being a previous TT owner. enjoy.

Well, the mattress is a POS. Heavier then hell and won't bend much. I can't seem to even get the mattress pad and fitted sheet on it. (a true "island" queen would of been easier) Fark it. It's not very comfy anyways. Gonna haul it to the landfill. I just ordered a 10" Zinus foam mattress. Will be here Saturday!

Nice, what engine is in it?

We bought an older 31' Four Winds Class C this year and really love it. Wife drives it, I pull boat with truck, perfect setup for us for fishing the local lakes. Our layout is very similar. We had to have a full bed in the back.
