Default USB Barcode Scanner Settings - Windows 10

Anyone know where they are located? Google is no help. Scanner is putting out some sort of weird series of characters, that will cause the download history in chrome or IE to open, rather than sending an "enter" command. Anyone have any incite?

Go into Device Manager, find the line for the scanner, right click it and select uninstall device.
Unplug the scanner and restart the computer.
After computer finishes starting up, plug the scanner in and let Windows find the driver for it. It may ask for a disk that came with the scanner.
Watch the messages that appear and confirm it installed correctly.
Hopefully will fix the problem.
