Default Cajun Navy rescuer says looters shot at them, tried to steal boats

It would be hard not to shoot back but glad they made the decision to just leave them be. They can swim to higher ground.

People who put the rescuers lives at risk by shooting at them should be taken out immediately.

I knew a guy that was doing rescue operations after Katrina, that got shot at a couple of times.

He thinks they were drug dealers moving dope.

Maybe they should carry some navy seal snipers to eliminate any threats!

If not sooner. Maybe bc I'm older I seem to remember a time when looters could be shot on sight if caught in the act.

I think an AR platform would be better than a shotgun in the rescue operation

$5 if you can guess the demographics and political affiliation of the rescuers and the armed looters.

I work with a guy who had to do aircraft battle damage repair on a Navy helicopter that was sent to rescue Katrina victims. Then their mayor had the audacity to get on the news and say the military wasn't doing enough to help!

Know a guy who was sent to Homestead right after Andrew.... According to him they had live ammo and were given autonomy to address any situation that arose.

Times may have changed but desperate times call for drastic solutions.

on their zello feed they have been making it clear all night that in certain areas of Houston the police have told them not to go in with a single boat and to go in armed and to even consider showing they are armed

it 100% happened during katrina and a lot of the katrina trash has shown up in Houston since then along with the trash Houston already had
