Need to settle a bet. What does it do for the temp?

Infers you want more AC. Makes it colder. Conversely, if I am cold, I would ask that the AC be turned down, making it warmer.

What do "we" get if you win?

Depends on how old you are and what math you were taught.

It does the opposite of asking to turn the heat up.

Thread and poll closed. No further discussion necessary.

If tuning up the heat makes it hotter, turning down the A/C makes it colder.

I have never turned the AC up or down. I rely on the thermostat to do that. Even the, I don't turn anything on it, it is has push buttons.

Do you want her to put more clothes on or to take them off. I'll vote after I get your answer.

You ever ride in a hot car? Do you ask the driver to "CRANK UP" the A/C, or "CRANK DOWN" the A/C?

Everyone I know says "CRANK UP THE A/C!".

Turn it up makes it warmer. You are asking to adjust the temperature upward.

Turn it down makes it colder.

==>Rapi

When Mother Nature turns it up and makes it even hotter, Rapi turns it down and keeps you coooool.
