Default Bacon Left IN Car Spoiled? Updated.

My wife purchased bacon to make BLT's and left the bacon in a hot car for two hours. Its hardwood smoked bacon and I think its OK if fully cooked right away. What says THT?

Update

Well its been 12 hours and I feel just fine. I baked it on 400 for about 10 minutes per side and we ate the whole pound. First fresh tomato we have had this year. Sliced up some French bread I toasted on the grill, two slices of tomato, bacon, lettuce and Duke's Mayo. First one was so good I had another. I figured it would be fine but the keep refrigerate part was throwing me off.

I do not think cured meat will go bad in 2 hours

the salt and curing agents keep things from growing while they bring the meat up slowly while smoking

For the price of a pound of bacon, do you really want to take this risk

It's good.

I work in construction I always leave my lunch in the car to cook

Today I left BBQ chicken on the dash for a couple hours. It was fantastic.

I kind of agree with the curd and sealed. Its cooking now so I'll chime in tomorrow. Can't wait for a good BLT with nice fresh tomato.

Since I discovered military commissary selling precooked bacon, I'm spoiled now! Like $2.23 a package, I go thru one a day sometimes...I blame it on that bar on duval st that gives bacon instead of chips or nuts...

Sorry but I don't want a bunch of strangers cooking my bacon. I prefer to do it myself. I take pride in it! Kinda why I don't eat out much, LOL

If you said 2 years then we would have something to talk about. 2 hours? You kidding?

No frigerate, no expire date, ya know you can't hurt ham.

Good bluegrass song.

I think the bacons fine.

If it's bad you will smell it while it's cooking.

Also this.

I once fixed some country ham I wasn't sure about. Soon as that joker hit the cast iron I was about to gag...that was the worst sour smell I've ever had the misfortune of inhaling.

There was no red-eye gravy on that day.

I can't remember the name but pretty sure it's called "2 cents", some Capt from ft drum and his hot wife came down escaping the cold last feb, we went drinking, it was off a side street near the ghey end, best I can help you with???

I drink more west end by sloppys and capt Tony's, nearer the cruise boats where slutty women tend to congregate.
